Fiocchi’s Range Dynamics line of ammunition is manufactured in America and made for – you guessed it – the range! This 223 Rem makes a great substitute for 5.56×45 M855 at ranges which prohibit magnetic ammo, and it’ll give you a welcome edge if you’re aiming over farther distances.
Fiocchi loads this round with a 62 grain full metal jacket boat tail. Neither the FMJBT’s lead core nor its copper-alloy jacket are capable of attracting a magnet, and it lacks the M855 bullet’s steel insert. The FMJBT’s concentric jacket gives it good stability in flight. Its tapered base reduces drag, which makes long-distance shooting easier by promoting a flatter trajectory and faster downrange velocities. The slightly heavier bullet may have a lower muzzle velocity, although its greater heft does grant it better resistance against wind drift – excellent for outdoor target practice!
