410 Bore – 2-1/2″ 1/2oz. #4 Shot – Winchester Super-X – 25 Rounds

We’re not 100% sure what “the what for” is, but we do know one thing for certain: it’s what you intend to give upland game the next time you head out into the boonies with your trusted 410 Bore shotgun or handgun.
We’re equally certain you’ll get your every penny’s worth out of Winchester’s Super-X heavy game loads. This shell packs 68 furious #4 lead shot pellets inside its 2-1/2” profile. They are hard, and stay tightly clustered from the moment of supersonic expulsion to the instant of impact. Winchester’s stated commitment to consistent velocity assures real steady recoil and stopping power, so you’ll never feel like you’re rolling the dice when you squeeze on a rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, or other suitably sized recipient of #4 lead.
Winchester’s Super-X ammunition has been on the market since 1922. It has been made in America for exactly as long. It’s a tradition you, a hunter, will appreciate. Your game of choice will feel less positively about it.

12 Gauge – 2-3/4″ 27 Pellets #4 Buck – Winchester Super-X – 5 Rounds

Small deer. Close-range deer. Deer in dense brush. What do these deer share in common? They’re all perfect recipients of #4 buckshot!
This shell is loaded with the smallest buckshot: 0.24” diameter, as opposed to 0.33” like 00 buck. One pellet of #4 buck weighs only ~38% as much as a piece of double-aught, which is why it generally doesn’t penetrate its target as deeply. That’s great if you’re trying to minimize meat damage. The shot’s smaller size is also why a 2-3/4” shell comfortably contains around three times more #4 buck pellets than it would double-aught. If you want a thick pattern that isn’t so easily deterred by intercepting vegetation, then you’re eyeballing the right ammo!
Pellet deformation is anathema to tight patterning. That’s certainly not news to Winchester, as evidenced by their addition of granulated polymer buffering to this ammo. It absorbs recoil that might otherwise have dimpled or flattened the pellets, thus assuring it streaks out of the barrel as orbicular and aerodynamic as they can be.
